Full Spectrum Services

In our second year of service, KLC School Partnerships operates programs at three elementary schools in Phoenix's Osborn School District. We provide Preschool wraparound, Before-and-After School and Summer programs for over 70 children.

Support For Literacy

KLC School Partnerships' Read*Write*Now! Literacy Program ensures that Osborn kids devote at least 30 minutes each day to a reading or writing activity. Our teachers hold frequent Read-a-thons to motivate children to achieve reading goals. We award prizes for individual accomplishment and pizza/ice cream parties when groups attain their goal.

A Character Development Initiative

Character development is another important program enhancement that has been fully implemented in our Osborn School District Programs. The follwoign are some key elements of the program: Mentoring, Community Involvement, Family Involvement, Conflict Resolution and Diversity Appreciation. Osborn kids also play our own Do-Right Crew board game, learning how to make positive choices in a challenging world. As an outgrowth of our character program, Osborn School District's KLC School Partnerships' participants collect pennies for Leukemia and collect and distribute books to Phoenix children's hospital patients.

Collaboration with the District

We place a high value on partnering with our District and school clients to achieve worthwhile objectives. As a result, our Osborn School District programs support district college credit courses for parents by providing evening child care for participating district families. KLC School Partnerships' Osborn School District team is constantly on the alert for opportunities to reinforce district initiatives.
